With the Lidl ID Checker app, users can digitally verify their identity. Once a contract is signed (subscription or prepaid), users can complete an identity verification process through this application.
To get started, follow these steps:
- Open the Lidl ID Checker app on your smartphone.
- Scan the QR code provided via email (if accessing on a computer) or click on the link in the email (if using a smartphone).
- Scan your ID document and record a video selfie of your face.
That's all that's required. Data protection is crucial, and Lidl Connect ensures that personal data is securely processed. None of the user's personal data is stored on the smartphone. The information inputted in the application is solely used for validating identity documents as mandated by Swiss law (SPTA 2018).
